Raphael Derome

When Alliance Wakeboard magazine needed a cover shot for their prestigious 100th issue, they asked Billabong/VZ rider Raphael Derome to get the job done. Proving once again he is one of the most well rounded and innovative riders on the scene, Raphael delivered a cover worthy of Alliance’s 100th issue.

Take some time to read the full story behind the cover.

It’s always a lot harder than it looks.

Congrats to Billabong’s Brooke Voigt!

This year’s LG Snowboard FIS World Cup moved locations from the Canadian Olympic Park in Calgary to Stoneham, Quebec but the one thing didn’t change is Brooke’s position on the podium. For the third year in a row Brooke was the top placed Canadian female taking home Silver in slopestyle, proving she’s not only consistent but a definite contender to represent Canada at the 2014 Winter Games.  Brooke’s run consisted of her signature smooth 5-0 on the down bar, Gap to down Frontboard, Frontside 360,  Method, Backside 360, and she finished off with a stylish Lipslide pretzel out.  This result places Brooke in 13th for the Final Freestyle Overall World Cup Standings women.  See the Canada Snowboard Press release here.

Congratulations to Billabong Girls!
